LOWLINC Teams
LOWLINC Teams are action-oriented! Teams serve members, engage volunteers, and carry out activities that support our organization. Volunteers and members play active roles in each of our teams. Email info@lowlinc.org to learn how you can join a LOWLINC Team!
Administrative Team
Assists with stuffing envelopes, prepares member and volunteer folders, performs other administrative tasks, and delivers on special projects.
Call Handlers Team
Call Handler volunteers are often the first contact that people have with LOWLINC. This team represents LOWLINC’s “front door”. Call Handlers are compassionate, good listeners, and capable users of our database system. They receive initial training from our Member Services Coordinator, attend monthly meetings to stay up to date, and enjoy getting to know our members and volunteers while ensuring that service requests are received and fulfilled.
Communications Team
Publishes LOWLINC’s quarterly newsletter, NewsLinc, and works on special communication projects.
Event Support Team
Supports events including our Annual Picnic, Annual Walk & Roll, and LOWLINC’s participation in LOWA’s Open Market Day and Independence Day parade. The team helps the “day-of” by welcoming guests at the registration table, sharing information about LOWLINC, helping with set up and clean up, serving food, overseeing games, and other activities that make every event fun and successful!
Health and Wellness Team
Supports our members and volunteers in staying healthy and active! The team coordinates monthly LOWLINC Speaker Series meetings on a wide range of engaging topics, organizes LOWLINC’s Annual Drive-Through Vaccine Clinic, coordinates Clean-out Projects, facilitates the Care Partner Discussion Group, leads a weekly walking group, and supports other wellness programs.
Member Appreciation Team
Supports members through welcome calls and new member receptions, coordinates delivery of Thanksgiving dinners and holiday gift bags, sends birthday cards, and helps design the annual member survey to gather feedback and respond to members’ interests and requests.
Volunteer Appreciation Team
Supports our dedicated volunteers and lets them know how much they are appreciated through welcome calls and volunteer recognition events. The team leads monthly volunteer orientation and refresher sessions, sends birthday cards, and helps design and implement the annual volunteer survey to gather feedback and respond to suggestions.
Social Activities Team
Coordinates a wide range of social activities, including game days, craft events, LOWLINC’s Annual Holiday Party, “Meet, Eat, and Greet” dinners, and an exciting variety of minibus outings to destinations that include theaters, museums, wineries, shopping, and local restaurants.
Tech Team
Provides technical assistance to the organization including videography services for recording and posting Speaker Series meetings, photography services that make it possible for us to share photos of LOWLINC activities and accomplishments, and other tech needs as they arise. The team also organizes and presents monthly Tech Talks and supports LOWLINC members and volunteers through special projects.
