LOWLINC's popular monthly Speaker Series meetings provide an opportunity for members, volunteers, supporters, and the general community to learn together. Presenters focus on a wide range of topics of interest to older adults.

LOWLINC Speaker Series - February 5, 2025

Modifications to our homes can help enable us to remain in our homes more safely. But, it can be hard to know where to begin! Fortunately, there are programs available to help us in making our homes safer and more accommodating to changing needs. Learn about programs and information available through the disAbility Resource Center (dRC) from Samantha Davis, Home Modification Program Manager. It is the dRC’s mission to assist people with disabilities, including older adults with mobility challenges, to achieve the highest potential and benefit of independent living by providing information, education, and helpful resources, including funding for those who qualify.

Virginia GrandDriver is an educational resource that provides Virginians with information and resources about staying safe and mobile on the road as we age. The program gives older Virginians and their families suggestions for improving driving skills and keeping everyone safer on the road.
