Jeanne Comeau, Executive Director
Jeanne has had a connection with Lake of the Woods since 1968 when her family bought a lot in Section 8. Her parents retired to the Lake and lived here for nearly 40 years. After a career in Northern Virginia, Jeanne moved to Orange in 2019. She worked for Logicon and Booz Allen & Hamilton as a senior consultant-software engineer and subsequently ran her own technology-focused intellectual property research firm. Most recently, Jeanne led NAMI Northern Virginia, a mental health non-profit serving individuals living with a mental health condition and family members, for 10 years. Jeanne holds a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from George Mason University, with Master’s work in Networking and Optical Communications and undergraduate coursework in brain physiology, vision and nutrition. Jeanne is passionate about serving older adults in our community through volunteer-led programs that support living independently, maintaining social connections, and enjoying life.
