About this event
What is Low Vision? When the best glasses prescription can no longer correct your vision, due to underlying
conditions, such that you can no longer easily do daily tasks -- that is Low Vision. For example, your life is
impacted by your decline in vision when you can no longer: read regular print, recognize faces, or drive.
Loss of these visual skills can be life changing. Learning new strategies and tapping into available resources can go a long way toward continuing to live a safe, independent, and fulfilling life. This presentation will provide valuable information for people living with low vision, as well as family members, friends, volunteers, and members of the community who would like to learn more about how they can best offer support.
Presenter: Sandy Neuzil, Low Vision Community Outreach, Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington. Open to the community.
